Originally a social worker from Australia, she has since relocated to New York, where she now does speaking engagements, group seminars, virtual consultations, and in-home consultations. Our society is obsessed with labels, so it really doesn’t surprise me that moms have found a way to categorize each other. And while we generally think of “labeling people” as a bad thing, I don’t think it always has to be.

My little peanut was born at 34 weeks on February 5th, 2017.

She was 3lbs, 11oz & 17in long, had 10 fingers and toes, and had a head full of dark hair. It was love at first sight.

Then we were separated, as she was taken to the NICU and I went to my recovery room. There were complications with my recovery and I had to go to the operating room for a D&C.
