Body positivity and holiday food:
As wonderful and delicious as holiday food can be, there’s often a feeling of guilt associated with indulging during this time of year. It’s really easy to get wrapped up in counting calories at Halloween, or avoiding baked goods at family gatherings.
I know because I’ve been there. This year I was diagnosed with PCOS, a hormonal condition that is heavily influenced by what I eat.

You’ve scoured Etsy for the perfect shirt that says “Young, Wild, and Three.” A friend is lined up to take pictures, there’s a deposit at the local indoor play place, and the custom three-tiered cake will be picked up next week. A box in the closet holds the balloons and streamers, and the goodie bags that still need to be filled.

My little peanut was born at 34 weeks on February 5th, 2017.
She was 3lbs, 11oz & 17in long, had 10 fingers and toes, and had a head full of dark hair. It was love at first sight.
Then we were separated, as she was taken to the NICU and I went to my recovery room. There were complications with my recovery and I had to go to the operating room for a D&C.
